The result for the JEE Main 2020 entrance exam has been declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The main examination result is available on the official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in.

According to the NTA Director-General, Vineet Joshi, 9,21261 students had registered for the examination held from 7 to 9 January.

Sarthak Diwan from Shimla has become the topper of Himachal Pradesh State in the JEE Main 2020 exam. He has scored 99.9683001 percentile. He hails from Sanjauli, Shimla. Sarthak's parents are physicians at Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla.

Talking about this achievement, Sarthak said, he did not use Facebook and other social media platforms for two years. He used mobile only to talk to loved ones. Sarthak told that he used to study for six to seven hours on a daily basis. He gathered study material from computers and the internet. 

Father Dr Yogesh Dewan and mother Dr Deepa Dewan expressed happiness over this achievement of the son. Sarthak has been a student of J C B Senior Secondary School, New Shimla. Sarthak said that he aspired to become an engineer. His parents have allowed him to freely choose subjects and careers on their own.

Sarthak wants to get admission in the best IITs of the country by scoring good marks in the JEE Advanced exam. His next aim is JEE Advance 2020 examination which is scheduled to be held on May 17, 2020. Sarthak told that he wants to become a computer engineer.

The application window for the JEE Main April Exam 2020 has been scheduled to begin from February 7 and will continue till March 7, 2020. The merit list of JEE Main 2020 will be made on the basis of marks in the examination of January and April. On this basis, a separate list will be made for IITs.

JEE Advanced 2020 – Exam Schedule

As per the exam notification published by IIT Delhi, the JEE Advanced 2020 exam will be held on 17th May 2020. The engineering entrance test will be held in two shifts i.e. Paper 1 Exam will be conducted in the morning session i.e. from 9 AM to 12 PM while the exam for Paper 2 will be held in the evening slot i.e. from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Following the completion of JEE Advanced 2020, IIT Delhi will also hold Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) on 12th June 2020. Following the completion of the JEE Advanced 2020 exam cycle, results are expected to be announced in June following which seat allocation will commence from 17th June 2020 onwards.
