Semiconductor design company eInfochips said it plans to hire 600 more engineers over the next 18 months to take its total headcount to 1,600 from 1,000 at present.
"We have crossed the 1,000-employee mark this year, and are aggressively recruiting more with plans to grow to 1,600 employees in the next 18 months," eInfochips' founder and chief executive officer Pratul Shroff said in a statement.
Shroff inaugurated a new facility in Magarpatta City here, which will focus on product design, system on chip (SoC) solutions and VLSI engineering.
"We have doubled our Pune Design Center capacity in space, and look forward to adding to our team in line with it. Pune has an immense talent ecosystem to deliver the top-notch quality of development projects. Aerospace and Defence, Embedded and Semiconductor design are very challenging areas to work in," Shroff said.
eInfochips caters to complex design projects in semiconductor space for many Fortune 100 companies across three continents.
This is the third facility expansion from eInfochips, after Ahmedabad and Bangalore, in addition to a new design center in Noida, the statement said.
