Union HRD Minister of State Upendra Kushwaha on Monday said that the enrollment in institutions teaching Sanskrit such as Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan and Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha is increaing every year.
The information was shared by Kushwaha in response to a written question in Lok Sabha.
In February, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced that Sanskrit University will be established in the state.
“The university, dedicated to the ancient language, will be established along with a recognized Sanskrit Gurukul College,” said Khattar.
The CM reiterated that university will be established in Mudri Village, Kaithal district.
Last week, Khattar has said that a university named after the tenth Guru Gobind Singh will be established in the Haryana.
The Chief Minister made the announcement while addressing a state-level function – Chardi Kalan in Karnal.
“A college would be set up at Lakhnaur Sahib. It would be named after Mata Gujri, the tenth Guru’s mother,” pointed out Khattar.
