Malala Yousafzai to become UN messenger of peace
New Delhi

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has been selected as UN messenger of peace by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

While the announcement was made by UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric on Friday, the 19-year-old girl will now onwards  aware people about importance of girls' education worldwide.  

According to reports, Malala will be officially desinated at a ceremony on Monday. She also received an offer to study at British University in March.

While the teenager made the announcement at an education conference in Birmingham, she received the offer to study at a UK university after applying to Oxford.

“I am in year 13, I have my A-Level exams coming and I have received a conditional offer which is three As, so I need to get the three As, that’s what my focus is right now, and I hope to continue my work and also continue my studies,” she said.
