LIVE BUDGET 2018: 'Revitalising Infrastructure and Systems in Education by 2022, Says FM Jaitley

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, while presenting the Budget 2018 in the Lok Sabha, said that Government is all set to launch 'Revitalising Infrastructure and Systems in Education by 2022’. 

FM Jaitley’s speech in connection with the Education sector as follows: 

Govt to launch 'Revitalising Infrastructure and Systems in Education by 2022. 
Government to set up PM Research Fellow Scheme, for which 1000 B Tech students are to be selected. 
24 new government medical colleges to be set up. The aim is to have one medical college for every three parliamentary constituencies.
Government to set up Eklavya schools for tribal children. 
Government to initiate integrated B Ed programs for teachers. 
Technology will be the biggest driver in improving quality of education. 
We propose to increase the digital intensity in education and move gradually from blackboard to digital board.
24 new govt medical colleges and hospitals to be set up by upgrading existing district hospitals.
By 2022, every block with more than 50% ST population and at least 20,000 tribal people will have 'Ekalavya' school at par with Navodaya Vidayalas.
