KBITS, a society under the department of information technology, biotechnology and science and technology (IT, BT and S&T), government of Karnataka, is the 'Nodal Agency' to undertake investment promotion activities and render necessary guidance/ assistance to entrepreneurs to setup IT and BT related industries in the state.
Overview:
1. Principal consultant (IT &ITES):
Number of Post: 1
Profile: promotion of IT & ITES eco-system aided by the pragmatic policy initiatives of the state government and to leverage its market leadership to continue as leading destination for IT/ITES globally.
Develop a state-wide policy framework to build secure and sustainable infrastructure and enable innovation by formulating various programmes /schemes in collaboration with state/centre/ international agencies integrating with state/centre policies/ mission in the field of IT and ITES.
Eligibility: PhD in engineering science and technology or Postgraduate degree in engineering science and technology with MBA from any institute of repute with minimum 20 years of work experience in IT/ITES industry in handling technical projects or programmes integrating multiple disciplines of IT/ITES.
Through acquaintance of current status of IT/ITES sector in the state, centre and at international levels.
2. Principal consultant (biotechnology):
Number of Post: 1
Profile: Promotion and advancement of biotech sector in the state aided by policy initiatives of the state and to leverage its market leadership in India and become a prominent biotech destination globally.
Assist in implementation of BT policy including monitoring and review of progress of incubation centres, common instrumentation facilities, technology business incubators, innovation centre, etc.
Eligibility: PhD in engineering science and technology or Postgraduate degree in biotech/life sciences with MBA.
Minimum 20 years of experience in BT/ life science industry in handling technical projects/programmes including minimum five years of experience in consulting and projects delivery of any government projects.
3. Senior consultant (biotechnology):
Number of Post: 1
Profile: Assist in promotion and advancement of biotech sector in the states, planning, coordination and implementation of components of biotech parks, activities of incubation centre, common instrumentation facilities, start-up activities related to biotech across the state.
Eligibility: PhD in engineering science and technology or Postgraduate degree in biotech/life sciences with MBA from any institute of repute with minimum five years of work experience. Through acquaintance of policies / programmes of state/centre in promotion of biotech sector.
4. Legal consultant
Number of Post: 1
Profile: Handling all legal matters of the society including arranging for appointment of advocate within the time allowed by the courts. Following-up the status of pending legal matter regularly at periodical intervals.
Vetting of all MoU/ MoA/ service agreements and other assignment related to legal aspects.
Eligibility: A law degree from any institute of repute and should have valid membership with state BAR council and license to practice anywhere in India.
Preference will be given for candidates who have experience working with the government departments.
5. Relationship manager
Number of Post: 1
Profile: To assist the implementation of schemes by understanding of Karnataka’s start-up ecosystem.
To coordinate with all the stakeholders of the department, network with startup hubs, incubators, accelerators and others to promote startup ecosystem.
Eligibility: MBA/PGDM with minimum two years of experience in relevant field.
Qualified individuals who have prior experience in organisation promoting entrepreneurship / startup ecosystem shall be given preference.
