During their visit from 24th May to 4th June, 2018, participated in International Summer School and presented research papers on different social issues such as refugee/migration, elderly, girl’s education, family institution, unorganized sector, development induced displacement, discrimination and marginalization.
The team members also visited a child protection home, refugee home, concentration camp, school and shelter home for disabled, family club, youth club, old age home besides GB Neuhaus Company, Morassina mine and Thuringia Parliament of Germany.
The students and faculty members also participated in the International Social Work Day seminar and interacted with students and faculty members of University of Applied Sciences and Temple University, Philadelphia, USA as part of their 10-day visit.
JMI has an MOU with University of Applied Sciences under which students of Department of Social Work visit Germany every alternate year to understand and learn about social issues and social work education and practice in the country.
Associate Professors at the Department of Social Work JMI, Dr. R.R. Patil and Dr. Intezar Khan coordinated the programme this year and accompanied the students.
