Jharkhand: Students caught cheating in Board exam

New Delhi

Seven students have been caught cheating in anunderconstruction building a few hundred metres away from their designated examcentres in Jharkhand.

While students’ exam centre was Adivasi Bal VikasVidyala at Ratu, the Jharkhand Education Departmnent officials caught themwriting exams in an underconstruction house.

“The matter will be investigated by properauthorities and those found guilty will be subjected to strict action,” saidNeera Yadav, State Education Minister.

The incident comes two weeks after the Bihar School Examination Board expelled 204 Class XIIstudents for using unfair means in the intermediate examination.  

While the BSEB Class XII exam 2017started on February 14 amid the question paper leak allegations, 12, 61, 793students are appearing the in the state plus two examination. The exam will endon February 25.

Of the candidates barred from the restof the examination, Bhojpur district accounted for the most (28), followed byJehanabad (20) and Patna (16), the BSEB said in a statement.
