Indian Law Institute in Delhi accredited with A Grade by NAAC

The Indian Law Institute in Delhi (ILID) has been accredited with A Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The institute got a CGPA of 3.35 by the NAAC, reports PTI.

ILID said in a statement that it has been assessed and accredited on the basis of the NAAC Peer Review Teams report in the 23 meeting of the Standing Committee held on March 28 in Bangalore.

About NAAC
National Assessment and Accreditation Council is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and credit institutions of higher education in the country. It is an outcome of the recommendations of the National  Policy in Education (1986) which laid special emphsis on upholding the quality of higher education in India.

To address the issue of quality, the National Policy of Education (1986) and the Plan of Action (POA- 1992) advocated the establishment of an independent national accreditation body. Consequently, the NAAC was established in 1994 with its headquarters at Bangalore.
