Students can now pursue BTech in Computer Science and Biosciences (CSB) at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D).
The institute has recently announced the launch of this exciting new program from the coming academic year and students around the country can enroll through Joint Admission Counseling (JAC) following the regular procedure for BTech admissions.
The programme will have an intake of 50 seats and the admission will be done on the basis of applicant’s JEE Mains score.
Presently offering BTech in five mainstream engineering branches, IIIT-D is focusing on a major fusion of CS and other areas to teach students the implications and usage of computer science technology.
This programme is a step towards bridging technical advancements in modern biology and medicine.
Pankaj Jalote, Director at IIIT-Delhi considers this a good opportunity for students aspiring for medicine and those who wish to excel in biosciences along with gaining competence in computer science. “Our institute is becoming the popular choice amongst all BTech aspirants. BTech (CSB) programme at IIIT-D is divided into eight semesters in which the integral units will be covered in first four semesters.
The later four semesters will include primarily elective courses allowing the students to choose subjects based on their interests.
The JAC registration is likely to be opened in the first week of June followed by admission counseling.
The programme structure has been meticulously designed with inputs from experts from academia as well as industry and may undergo a few changes in the coming months as the Institute is refining it further.
