IGNOU Latest Courses - PC : My Result Plus
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has recently launched an MA programme in Sustainability Science (MASS) course, starting from the academic year 2022. Beginning from the January 2022 admission cycle, this course has been introduced by the School of Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary studies. Students desirous of pursuing this course can log on to the official website of IGNOU at ignou.samarth.edu.in and enroll for the MASS course.

As claimed by IGNOU, MASS is the first of its kind in the country which aims to provide sustainability education to all the sections of the society. Designed on the lines of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the programme's objective is to impart holistic and multidisciplinary education and adopt lateral entry and multiple exit options. After the candidate completes his/her first year courses successfully, the Post graduate diploma courses will be provided to them in Sustainability Science.

The MASS course is aimed at opening doors of opportunities for the learners to deepen their knowledge and hone their skills on sustainable development and principles of sustainability science.

Course fee and Eligibility Criteria:

The fee for the entire programme has been fixed as Rs 7000 per year. Candidates willing to apply for the course must have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognised College/University.

This programme encompasses 15 theory courses (9 in the first year and 6 in the second year). This is followed by project work in the second year. Both the years consist of 36 credits.
