• National Defence Academy (NDA): Every year UPSC holds entrance exams twice for the admission in NDA. The candidates can apply while persuading 10+2 or after completing class XII. Once you clear the written exam, you have to go through a 5-day interview. Once you clear the interview and considered medically fit for the institute, you will join NDA as a cadet.
• Combined Defence Service Examination (CDSE): University graduates or those who are in the final year of the graduation can apply for this course. Once you clear the examination, you have to go through 18-month training. You can serve up to 10 to 14 years in the armed forces. You can opt for permanent commission after 10 years or release from services after 5 years.
• 10+2 Technical entry scheme (TES): After passing class XII, you can apply for this course if you have gained 70%+ marks. Once cleared, you will have to go through basic military training after which you will undergo a three-year engineering program designed specifically for Army needs.
• University Entry Scheme (UES): The PreFinal year students in any engineering field can apply for this course under Permanent commission in the Technical Arms of the Indian Army. The candidates are required to appear before SSB and go through the medical test. Once cleared, you will get admission in Indian Military Academy.

• Technical Graduate Course which is meant for Engineering Graduates and post graduates.
• Short Service Commission which is meant for technical graduates for short period of service time.
• NCC which is meant for students with NCC certificate.
• Judge Advocate General Entry which is meant for Law graduates.
• Short Service Commission Women which is meant for women interested in armed forces for job profile related to Corps of Electronic and Mechanical Engineers, Corps of Engineers, Army Educational Corps, Military Intelligence Corps, Judge Advocate General’s Branch, Army Supply Corps, Army Ordnance Corps and Army Air Defence.
