In a bid to promote gender sensitivity, the Women and Child Development Ministry has drafted a proposal to make Home Science mandatory for boys in schools.
The draft policy proposes that the HRD Ministry redesign school curriculum to promote gender sensitivity as well as make home science and physical education compulsory for both girls and boys, reports NDTV.
The report further pointed out that the proposal also offers tax relief to widows and divorced women.
