First of its kind 'Failures Conclave' held in Dehradun
Students must not be depressed or dejected as the possibility of a bright future always exists, despite failing in an examination, said a Padma Shree awardee at a ''Failures Conclave'' held in Dehradun.

A first of its kind, the Conclave was held to curb growing tendency to commit suicide among young children who don''t perform well in examinations.

"Regardless of the number failures, you must always try to explore possibilities and move ahead in life," said Padma Shree awardee and social activist Avdhash Kaushal.

Citing a number of examples like Thomas Alva Edison, Bill Gates and Benjamin Franklin, he said that failures never stop an individual from achieving in life.

Kaushal said that some children feel embarrassed and depressed after failing in an examination and commit suicide.

He said that the purpose of this conclave is to give a message to the world that we cannot put pressure on children for studies as this puts a bad impact on their personality.

He said that in near future, his NGO-- RLEK (Rural Litigation and Entitlement Kendra) will organise more such events where famous people form across the world will be invited who were not able to do well in studies but still managed to reach the pinnacle of success.
