If you are among them then don't worry.
Following tips will help you to overcome it.
Clarity
Always remember that marks are allotted for answering what is asked and not what you know. Keep your mind focus and avoid going off topic. While writing essays for the UPSC exam, engage the readers through coherent writing style. Try to keep track of the usage of words and at the same time the quality of the answer.
Style
Depending upon the marks, the style and pattern writing answer differs.
Different types of writing as follows:
Expository - a type of discourse used to describe, explain, define, inform, or clarify.
Descriptive - includes many vivid sensory details that paint a picture and appeals to all of the reader's senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste when appropriate.
Narrative
- you’ll need to tell a story (usually about something that happened to you) in such a way that the audience learns a lesson or gains insight.
Persuasive - a form of nonfiction writing that encourages careful word choice, the development of logical arguments, and a cohesive summary.
Creative - any writing that goes outside the bounds of normal professional, journalistic, academic, or technical forms of literature, typically identified by an emphasis on narrative craft, character development, and the use of literary tropes or with various traditions of poetry and poetics.
Plan
Whether you are writing an essay or letter, create a clear plan and structure it first. Mind mapping, or organizing information visually with diagrams, can be a useful tool. Each sentence, each paragraph should be relevant.
Critical analysis
The answer should have a proper analysis of the topic. The analysis should be step by step and coherent.
