Delhi Prefers Government Schools over Private

School run by Delhi government in Rohini -- Government Co-ed Sarvodya Vidyalaya can give a competition to the private schools in the city as 1200 students are on its’ roll, As reported by Hindustan Times.

The school has 1200 students till now. 900 students have moved from private to government school in Sector 21 Co-ed Sarvodya Vidhyalaya.

The school, was opened on April 1, boasts infrastructure with 69 rooms, including yoga room, music room, maths and science laboratories. 

Vice-principal Sukhbir Singh Yadav told Hindustan Times that “the infrastructure gives the look and feel as private school’s infrastructure which mainly attracts parents and students. The parents see the school building, classroom, playground and uniform as well. Thus we have designed the uniform for students so that they feel good while walking into school.”

The parents are not willing to send their wards to the private schools due to their high fees and less facilities.

The vice principal also said that the recent results have shown that students of government schools have performed better than the private schools. 

The pass percentage in class XII board exams, Delhi government schools was at 88.27% whereas private schools were at 79.27%.

Yadav also added that school will have more facilities for the students also have requested for cctv cameras, badminton and basket ball court and also ore furniture and computers. The requirements are expected to fulfill in few months.
