Delhi Cabinet Gives Nod To Regularise Guest Teachers, HC Puts Stop On Appointment

The Delhi High Court has stayed the process of appointing guest teachers and promoting those appointed since 2010 in Delhi government schools till October 11.


Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who is also Education Minister, on Wednesday informed media that the legislation would be introduced at a special one-day session of the Delhi Assembly on October 4. 

“Now, the Cabinet has cleared the bill that will regularise the guest teachers... those who have not cleared CTET will not be removed immediately. There is a time period and process under the Right to Education that is being followed,” he said.
