The main objective of this National Symposium is to bridge that gap between the architecture, healthcare and engineering world.
Prof SM Akhtar, HoD, Department of Architecture envisioned the need of this specialized amalgamation more than a decade back when he realized the need of interaction between architects and doctors to understand and supplement requirements of each other.

Also, Jamia hosted the 7th meeting of Subject Expert Committee (SEC) on Engineering and Technology, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India (GoI).
The meeting was held from October 8-9, 2018 at Dayar-i Mir Taqi Mir, JMI.
The meeting showcased presentations on new proposals as well as ongoing projects in the presence of committee members.
Prof. Zahid Ashraf (FNASc), Director-Academics, JMI, and Dr. Vandana Singh, Scientists at DST were the organizers of the meeting.
