Twenty seven people were arrested on charges of helping candidates to cheat during Bihar Staff Selection Commission examination in Nawada on Sunday.
According to reports, police raided a house situated in Warsaliganj and arrested the accused who allegedly supplied electronic devices to the candidates during the BSSC inter-level (second phase) examination held at various centres across the states.
While questions were leaked on an online chatting platform Whatsapp, the exam started at 11 am on Sunday.
Barama Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Ram Pukar Singh said that more than 12 mobile phones and other electronic devices and 18 motorcycles have been seized.
However, Bihar Education Minister Ashok Chaudhary denied the news.
