Applications are invited for Shiksha Puraskar Scheme-2017.
Scope:
Under the scheme, the books are originally written in Hindi by Hindi and non-Hindi-speaking authors in various fields such s education, policy, education system, social sciences, philosophy, political thought, culture, communication, moral science, science and technology, medical science, political science, environment and other subjects related to education shall be entertained.
Creative literature, text-book, thesis and translated books shall not be considered. Manuscripts are not accepted.
Eligibility:
Writers from any part of India or publishers on their behalf may submit their books under the scheme Non-resident Indians or foreign Hindi Scholars are also eligible.
The officers/employees of other ministries/offices of central government/state government may apply with the prior permission of their department.
Guidelines:
1. Books published between year 2012-2016 shall only be considered.
2. The published books must contain at least 200 pages each.
3. The writers awarded once under the scheme shall not be considered again.
4. Manuscripts shall not be considered under the scheme.
5. The books awarded by the government of India/undertaking/institutions under it or by state governments or professional institutions shall not be considered.
6. Books received under the scheme five copies of the book alongwith the application.
7. It is mandatory to submit five copies of the book alongwith the application.
8. The portion of the book displaying the name of the author and that of the publisher should be removed from there out of five copies of the books and must be rebounded before sending to the directorate. The remaining two copies should be sent as they are.
