The State matriculation Supplementary examinations-2013, which began from June 11 this year, ended today, informed the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) president D P Nanda.
Nanda said the results of the examinations are likely to be announced in the second week of July.
Speaking to reporters, Nanda said the examinations for both Regular and Ex-regular students ended on the day without any major untoward incident reported from any of the 271 centres where the examinations were conducted.
Nanda said the evaluation of answer sheets would begin on June 26 and they will be over by the end of this year. “We are hoping to make the results out before July 15, so that the successful students without losing a year could go for their higher education from August,” Nanda said.
This year, nearly 60,000 students had wished to write the Supplementary examinations. But as reports pour in, a little less than 55,000 students wrote their papers.
Sources further informed that nearly 2000 students were booked for malpractice as they were found using unfair means during the examination.
