Aspiring chartered accountants will soon get their lessons through the DTH platform, with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Monday entering into an agreement with the HRD Ministry to make this possible.
ICAI will be utilising DTH education channels of the Ministry to prepare the students across the country.
It shall be responsible for providing the educational content so as to run the channels live for 8 hours.
These channels will deliver structured lectures in almost all the subjects/ disciplines, which shall be delivered mostly live, by teachers.
The learners can have live interaction every hour with the teachers present in the studio by asking questions from anywhere in the country, via video conferencing, mobile, land line, SMS, e-mail, etc, and seek instantaneous answers from the teachers.
An MoU was signed in this regard by president of ICAI K Raghu and senior official in HRD Ministry Praveen Prakash in the presence of HRD Minister M M Pallam Raju.
This model will later be replicated by the Ministry for many other educational institutions also to impart education in social-sciences, humanities and other subject as well, said a statement.
At a separate event, the Minister also released the logo of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) programme which was launched recently to improve the quality of higher education with capacity augmentation.
