Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC), has been given the accredited status for PGPEX (MBA) and PGP (MBM) programmes by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) for five years.
Created in 1967 AMBA is the global standard for all MBA, DBA and MBM programmes, a statement by IIM-C said.
"They (AMBA) accredit programmes at over 200 business schools in more than 70 different countries. They are the only professional membership association connecting MBA students and graduates, accredited business schools and MBA employers in more than 110 countries,"the statement said.
With this accredition IIM-C joins the elite club of globally reputed business schools accredited by AMBA such as Mannheim Business School (Germany), Imperial College Business School (United Kingdom), Leeds University Business School (United Kingdom).
