The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has announced the 2013 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) general stream examination results today. The students who appeared in the examination can check their result as it has been published.

A total of 9.81 lakh students appeared in the SSC general stream exams held in March this year.

Since the board has also decided to take into account the school performance of the examinees, this would be reflected in their marks this year. Marks obtained in the examination will be scaled down to 70 per cent while 30 per cent weightage will be given to school performance.
Last year, the board had declared the results on June 2. Of the 9.10 lakh students who had appeared in the exam last year, 6.29 lakh had passed.
