Chhattisgarh to set up School Education Commission
The Chhattisgarh government has decided to constitute a School Education Commission with an aim to improve the standard of education in the tribal state, besides addressing the needs of aggrieved teachers.

“Chief Minister Raman Singh has decided to set up a School Shiksha Ayog (education commission) keeping in view the interest of students, teachers and parents,” an official said here today.

The CM made an announcement in this regard yesterday during his visit to Ramanujganj of Sarguja region as part of the ongoing state-wide Vikas Yatra.

The Commission will be tasked to evolve ideas for further improving the standard of education in the state and also look into the salary discrepancies among teachers, fee structure of the privates school etc, the official added.

The panel would consist of at least three members, including a Chairman.

While addressing a gathering in the region, Singh said that over the period of last nine years, state government has paid serious attention towards the development of backward areas and those sharing borders with other states.
