90,000 youths trained under Skill Development Mission in MP
As many as 90,000 youths have been trained under Skill Development Mission in Madhya Pradesh while over 25,000 youths have secured jobs after obtaining training.

This information was given at a review meeting -- chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan -- of the Technical Education Department here, an official release said.Mr Chouhan directed to chalk out a strategy for quality training at industrial training Institutes as per
present-day requirements.

He also directed that vacant posts in ITIs should be filled up within prescribed time-limit.
Residential quarters for staff should also be constructed on the premises of new polytechnics and ITIs being constructed in remote areas.

Mr Chouhan instructed to chalk out an action plan to start 200 new skill development centres in the state.Priority should be given to ITI-trained youths in self-employment schemes and special attention should be paid to impart training to the instructors posted at these institutes, he said.

Besides other courses, skill development training course should also be started in the state''s colleges.The Chief Minister directed to arrange for quality rating of colleges and universities and chalk out an action plan for developing one faculty in each university as model faculty.
