NEST 2024 cut-off update: The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar has released the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 cut-off. Candidates, who have appeared for the exam, can now access the NEST 2024 cut -off available on the official website (nestexam.in). However, the NEST 2024 counselling dates are yet to be announced.
While the NEST 2024 examination was conducted on June 30 in online mode, the result was declared on July 12 and the NEST 2024 answer key was out on July 5. Candidates, not satisfied with the answer key, were allowed to submit objections by emailing the relevant NEST authorities before 11 am on July 7.
NEST 2024: 2 questions dropped
It should be mentioned that based on the objections submitted regarding the NEST 2024 provisional answer key, exam officials have removed two questions from the NEST 2024 question paper. While one question from Biology (Question ID 733898484, shift 1) was ambiguous with multiple correct answers, another question from Physics (Question ID 733898466, shift 2) had no correct answer among the options. Apart from this, the subject-total marks obtained by students in Biology (shift 1) and Physics (shift 2) have been scaled so that the total marks are adjusted to 180.

Factors determing the NEST cut-off are number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, previous year cut-offs, number of available seats, performance and reservation policies.
