The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed the pleas seeking cancellation and re-test of the controversy-ridden NEET-UG 2024. According to media reports, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to commence the NEET UG counselling 2024 from tomorrow, July 24.
While the MCC is the counselling conducting body for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats available for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing programmes, it is also accountable for NEET 2024 counselling for 1,09,170 MBBS, 27,868 BDS and 1,000 BSc Nursing seats across India. Apart from this, MCC also conducts UG medical and nursing course admission in 100% seats in deemed universities, central universities, AFMC, IP University, AIIMS, JIPMER, DU, AMU and BHU. The NEET UG counselling 2024 will tentatively be held in four rounds of counselling followed by stray rounds.

The NEET MDS 2024 round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on 31 July 2024. According to the counselling schedule, candidates will have to report to their assigned college from 1 to 7 August 2024. Verification of joined candidates will take place from 8 to 9 August 2024.
