As per the pre-scheduled schedule, the NEET post-graduate counselling was to begin from September 01, 2022. But for the time being the Medical Counseling Committee has postponed it. It has been told that the NEET PG counselling process has been postponed due to new colleges and an increase in the number of seats. This will clear the way for more candidates to get admission in postgraduate medical education courses.
Update about new dates of counselling
After the release of NEET PG 2022 result by the National Board of Medical Examination (NBEMS), candidates were eagerly waiting for the announcement of NEET PG counselling dates. However, the waiting time of the candidates has now increased once again. Candidates who have qualified the NEET Post Graduate 2022 exam should keep visiting the official website of the Medical Counseling Committee i.e. MCC at mcc.mic.in for updates about the new counselling dates.
Supreme Court had given a green signal to NEET PG counselling
However, in the meantime, the NEET PG counselling process was recently cleared by the Supreme Court. After the rejection of the petition filed by the candidates, the expectation of NEET PG counselling to start from September 01 was high. The counselling process for NEET PG 2022 will be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). MCC had released the tentative schedule of online counselling/ allotment process for NEET PG MS and MDS 50 per cent All India Quota and 100 percent Deemed/Central University Quota, which has now been deferred.
