Earlier the Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwathnarayan announced that the KCET 2020 document verification of the candidates will be done online, there is no need for students to come physically. Further, the Counselling process for the common entrance test will also be done online.

The KCET 2020 was conducted on July 30 and 31, 2020. The provisional answer key for the same was released on August 04. The entrance examination result was announced on August 21. The Karnataka Examination Authority has released the final answer key for the KCET 2020 on August 25. KEA has published the final answer keys for all the subjects of KCET -- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
The examination was held at 497 centres at 127 locations. This year, a total of 1,94,419 candidates applied for the KCET exam. Out of which 1,75,349 candidates appeared for the common entrance test.
