All COVID-19 related guidelines and protocols are being followed during entrance tests held in two shifts at various examination centres on the university campus. Examination Centres were sanitised a day before the exam and candidates were asked to bring their own water bottle and pocket-size hand sanitizer.
Examinees were allowed to enter examination centres while following social distancing norms, with a proper face mask and temperature check. Isolation/separate rooms for students having more than 99.4 degrees Fahrenheit temperature were also arranged. Seating arrangements inside the examination halls were also made following the social distancing norms.
Waiting areas for parents/guardians have also been created at various test centres on the university campus with chairs to sit, pedestal fans etc.
Volunteers of NSS, JMI under the guidance of V.H Siddiqui, Program Coordinator, and Dr Abid Hussain, Program Officer, NSS were available at these help desks to address queries raised by students and their parents. Volunteers are helping candidates in various ways like guiding them to entrance test centers, pasting photographs on admit card, free printout if the candidate forgets to bring admit card, photo printout, first aid, assistance to physically challenged candidates, etc.
An Ambulance of Dr M.A. Ansari Health Centre, JMI was available during the period of the entrance tests at the Control Room of the Security Office to help students and their parents/guardians in case of any health emergency.
Parents and guardians were very happy with these arrangements and they are registering their feedback in the register kept at these help desks.
