The applications are invited by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for DRDO scholarship scheme for girls for Undergraduate and Postgraduate level girl students in Aerospace engg./ Aeronautical engg./ Space engg./ Rocketry/ Avionics/ Aircrafts engg. under the aegis of Aeronautics Research and Development Board. The last date to apply the scholarship is September 10, 2019.
For Postgraduate, full-time 2-year degree course (pursuing ME/MTech/MSc (Engg.)) and for Undergraduate, full-time 4-year degree course (pursuing BE/BTech/BSc (Engg.)).
AR&DB has been mandated to nurture quality aeronautics human power in the country since inception in 1971.
This scholarship scheme would attract such women power from various institutes through a transparent process with an objective to tap the talent of bright students across the country.
RAC invites online scholarship applications from the Girls / Women students studying in first year of Undergraduate (BE/BTECH: full time four year degree) and Post Graduate (MTECH/ME: two year full-time degree course) under “DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls in Aerospace Engg / Aeronautical Engg / Space Engg / Rocketry / Avionics / Aircraft Engg” through RAC website https://rac.gov.in
The scholarship amount for Postgraduate is going to be Rs 186,000/- per year/ @ Rs15,500/- per month and Undergraduate Rs 1,20,000/- per year or annual fee whichever is less.
No. of scholarship: For Postgraduate: 10; and Undergraduate: 20
Eligibility: Post Graduate level: applicant must be an Indian National and should have secured admission to the Last year of the current academic year. Scored min 60% in BTech/ BE) or equiv. He/she must have a valid GATE score.
Under Graduate level: the applicant must have an Indian National and must have secured admission in Iast year of BTech/ BE or equiv and should also have a valid JEE (Main) score.
Selection Process: For Postgraduate: (MTech/ME) scholarship for the first year will be on the basis of valid GATE score, on a merit basis.
The selection of Undergraduate (BTech/BE) scholarship will be on the basis of valid JEE (Main) score on merit basis.
