CUET-UG Result 2024: After the release of the Common University Entrance Exam-Undergraduate (CUET-UG) results, students will have sufficient time for admissions. According to sources, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has instructed universities to ensure that delays in the admission process do not cause further issues for students.


Students will be given ample time to participate in the admission process following the announcement of the results. Universities have been directed to prepare their schedules accordingly. Consideration must be given to factors such as remote locations and the monsoon season during the admission period. Universities are also advised to issue helpline numbers and provide online admission facilities so that students can pay fees and submit documents from anywhere.


The CUET-UG exam was conducted in 13 Indian languages, including English. The highest number of students, 822,518, took the exam in English, while 165,549 students appeared for the exam in Hindi. Additionally, only two students each took the exam in Konkani and Sindhi.


Additionally, candidates must note that  the new academic session is said to commence between second and third week of August this year. 


CUET UG Result 2024: New academic session details 

• The UGC has advised starting the new academic session between the second and third week of August.
• Although universities are autonomous institutions, they have the right to initiate the admission process and start the new session based on their schedules.
• The delayed start of the academic session will not impact the studies.
• During the COVID-19 pandemic, there were delays in the academic session, but the semester was completed on time by reducing holidays and holding classes on Saturdays.
• Previously, the academic session in universities would start in the first week of August, but admissions continued until the last week of August.

CUET-UG Result 2024: Exam  details 

• Duration of the Exam: 60 minutes were allotted for the exams in subjects such as Economics, Accountancy, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics Practices, Chemistry, Mathematics, and General subjects.
• The exam was conducted in 379 cities across India and in 26 cities abroad.
• The exam had 1,195 subject experts and 565 translators.

CUET-UG Result 2024: Admission information

• Admissions through the CUET-UG exam will be available in 157 private universities, 46 central universities, 40 state universities, and 29 deemed-to-be universities.
