Rastriya Sanskrit Sansthan plans to introduce diploma courses
The government run Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan plans to introduce two year diploma courses in disciplines like Yoga, Ayurveda, Astrology and Vaastu from the next academic session.

The Delhi based Deemed University already runs graduate as well as post graduate courses, but officials said that keeping in mind the demand of those aspiring to learn these disciplines it will launch 2 year diploma courses.

VC of the University P N Shastry said that the courses will be introduced next year and the details related to the structure of these courses are being worked out, according to a PTI report.

Smriti Irani led HRD ministry is laying much emphasis on giving impetus to Sanskrit learning. It had also formed a committee constituted under chairmanship of former CEC N Gopalaswami on measures to promote Sanskrit. The panel has recently given its findings.
