About 1,28,000 candidates would appear in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) on May 12 to be conducted at 180 centres, including 35 outside the state, official sources said here today.
Similarly, about 70,000 students would appear the entrance examination for admission into Diploma Courses on May 5 at 186 centres of which 14 centres were outside Odisha.
While the entrance examination for degrees and masters courses and lateral entry was being conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE), the test for diploma courses would be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha government.
“For the first time, a two tier supervising system will be introduced in all the centres and the examinations in all centres will be video recorded”, Employment and Technical Education and Training minister P K Deb said.
For fairness of the examinations, efforts were being made to maintain law and order in each centre with deployment of police personnel, he said.
