34 thousand students joined JoSAA Counselling, Second Round Allocation Result Today

Around 34000 students have registered for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA)’s first round of counselling for all the IIT, NIT, IIIT and GFTI. Students have completed the process of seat float and freeze according to their ranks.

The details of the vacant seats for the second round of counselling will be released today. The list of the seat allotment will be announced on the same day at 5.00pm.
In the second round of counselling, those students will get the seats, have to deposit a fee. Along with this, on July 5 candidates have to report at the centre with their important documents.

The Director of the Omega classes, KK Gupta said that the students who had allotted seats in the first round had opted for the float and slide option at the reporting centre, they do not need to report again.

If any student wants to attend further counselling, they can fill switchover form on the official website. After that, students have to visit the reporting centre again.

These students have to do reporting again
According to KK Gupta, if students get different allotments in the first and second round, so they have to visit the centres again. For example, the students were allotted IIT in the first round but got NIT in the second round; such students would have to report again.

The fee will be refunded after leaving the seat
The students can get their fee back in case of leaving the seat. They have to apply for it on the official website. The candidates would have to download the withdrawal application form from the website. Then, have to visit again to the reporting centre. The JOSAA will deduct Rs.1500 and the remaining fee will be returned.

Around 700 students enrolled in IIT Counselling
The first round of IIT Kanpur’s counselling process has begun five days before. During this counselling, around 700 students have enrolled in it. These 700 students have selected different IITs according to their rank. After the seat allotment on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, the counselling process will start from July 4.
