JOSAA 2019 Counselling Begins, Check IIT Seat Allocation Process

The IIT Seat allocation process has begun by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2019. The candidates who have cleared the Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) advanced 2019 are required to register themselves for JOSAA 2019. The JoSSA is the official seat allocation authority for IITs, NITs, IIESTs, IIITs and other government-funded institutes. The candidates have to complete the registration process by visiting the official website, josaa.nic.in.

The registration and choice filling for the programmes organized by JoSAA for IIT seat allocation process. The admissions will be held on the basis of the ranks secured in the JEE Advanced results 2019.
The candidates who have appeared for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) will begin from June 21, 2019, after the declaration of the AAT result. The registration process for IIT and NIT admissions will be closed on June 25, 2019.

The candidates who have appeared in JEE (Main) 2019 are eligible to register for seat allocation in NIT while those who qualified for JEE Advanced are eligible for seat allocation in all participating institutes including IITs. The candidates who fill the registration form will only be eligible to appear for counselling. Candidates who failed to fill the registration process within the specified time will not be eligible for admission in this academic year.

About JoSAA:
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2019 has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 107 institutes for the academic year 2019-20. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.

About JoSAA 2019 Counselling:
JoSAA counselling process will be conducted in 7 rounds along with 2 mock rounds that will be conducted before the choice filling process concludes on June 25. The seat allotment rounds will be conducted on June 27, July 3 and July 6. The respective document verification rounds will be held on – June 28 to July 2 for round I, July 4 to July 5 for round II, July 7 to July 8 for round III.
