JNUEE 2019: Dates For Maiden Online Entrance Tests Announced, Check the Details
JNUEE 2019

The tentative dates for the JNU Entrance Examination (JNUEE) for the academic year 2019-20 has been announced by the Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The JNUEE 2018 online examinations will be held from December 27 to December 30, 2018 according to the notification published for the prospective JNU student applicants.

It even stated that the format will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for the JNUEE 2019-20 through a Computer Based Test.

The notification stated, “this is to inform all the candidates who are interested to appear in JNUEE. Note that the right to change the Dates of Entrance Examination to later date is reserved by the JNU”.

Through a 12- member committee formed earlier in the year, the Vice Chancellor of the University initiated the process to change the mode of test from subjective to objective type.

In the university’s Academic Council meeting, the decision was passed amid vehement protests from a section of students who deplored the online mode as a “scam” and as “unilaterally” imposed upon them by the university head.

“For each course there will be an online examination which will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs).

The exam for each course will carry 70 marks each. This nullifies the comprehensive evolution of analytic, writing and other skills which are necessary.

Particularly in humanities and social sciences.” Said the newly elected JNUSU president N. Sai Balaji.
