Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) will start short-term courses on Cinematography, Scripting and Acting here from next month.
According to an official release, FTII Chairman Gajendra Chauhan today met Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and informed him about the course.
Chauhan said the FTII will start the short-term courses in Guwahati from October 10 this year.
The FTII will introduce the course on Cinematography, Scripting and Acting for 20 days, he informed Sonowal.
"This has been done as a part of FTII''s initiative to reach out the aspiring students, who want to build career in acting and other allied vocations," the statement said.
Sonowal thanked the Chairman for this step and assured all help from his government to FTII''s initiative and its further expansion plan.
