In the era of technology where the fad is towards the technological advancement and to create a digital world, the new generation is inclining towards the internet and wants to learn every bit online instead of opting the traditional way to join an institution or a college.
Thus the technology can play a major role in defining one’s personality or in making a decision.
Whereas, a good college lays the foundation for a student to be future ready. A good college provides an atmosphere where the students can prepare themselves not only academically but can also enhance their personalities.
Good colleges improve not only academically but enhances the skills such as communication, writing and more.
The course remains the same and sometimes become outdated.
But a good college offers a number of opportunities to do activities related to voluntary military training, social service, the environmental awareness programmes and many more.
It could be difficult for a student to differentiate the pros and cons of choosing college over the course or vice versa.
The student should not go after big brands or 'famous names' blindly, it's always better to reach out to the students who are currently studying in the particular college. and do not only pick one person to talk to try to talk to as many as you can.
Whereas Simran Hora from LSR studying Journalism has a different opinion on the topic "Though I am in a professional course in a known college thus I feel that I am in a win-win situation, I always wanted to do a professional course thus I got admitted in Journalism programme, For me the course is what just matters, if you know your goal and know basic steps towards it then you do not need a brand to flourish your steps thus going for course is what should matter rather than go for a fancy college and not knowing what to study".
The confusion of a student can be resolved by providing few counselling sessions and few orientation programmes. Students should also reach out to their teachers and career counsellors to make a decision.
