Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday said that an engineering college will soon come up in the city under the state government's policy of providing every division of the state with one such college.
Addressing media persons here, Minister for Technical Education Ram Sakal Gurjar said Bulandshahr has been chosen in Meerut division under the government's policy of setting up an engineering college in every division.
The proposed college here will be affiliated to UP Technical University and the district administration has been directed to identify a suitable land for the purpose he said.
There are at present 11 government-run engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh besides three others which are under-construction.
The proposed college will impart long and short-term diploma courses in various streams, Gurjar said.
