WB NMMS Results 2024: the Directorate of School Education of West Bengal has declared the results for the the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE 2023-34) for class 8 today, 15 April, along with the publication of the district-wise selection list. 


Candidates who appeared for the WB NMMS examination 2024 can now check their results by visiting the official website i.e. scholarships.wbsed.gov.in.

The Ministry of Education has established the state quota beneficiaries for West Bengal at 7,250 for the NMMS WB Result 2024. Students in Class 8 who received at least 55% of the possible points in the annual Class 7 exam were qualified to take the centrally sponsored NMMS exam. Students in the reserved category received a 5% passing mark relaxation.

The West Bengal state quota beneficiaries have been set at 7,250 by the ministry of education. Candidates for the NMMS scholarship who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and whose family makes less than Rs 3,50,000 will be taken into consideration.

Scholarships will be awarded to students who have passed both the SAT and the Mental Ability Test (MAT). 

According to the Department of Education, West Bengal comprises 23 administrative districts along with two educational districts: Barrackpore education district, encompassing Barrackpore and Bidhannagar subdivisions, and Siliguri education district, covering the Siliguri subdivision.  

The NMMS test consisted of two components, the MAT and the SAT, with a total of 180 questions. Although there was no set syllabus, questions from Classes 7 and 8 were asked. 

 

WB NMMS Results 2024: Steps to check results 

  • Firstly, Candidates need to visit the WB NMMS official website at scholarships.wbsed.gov.in.
  • then, click on the “NMMSE-2023 District Wise Selected Candidates List” under the Notice tab displayed on the homepage. 
  • You will see a dropdown appear. displaying the district-wise selection list.
  • Click on the district you applied to for the exam.
  • Now, the selection list PDF will have name, roll number, district, school name and score obtained by the student.
  • Check using the required cridentials like roll number or name. 
  • Check the qualifying status after your name or roll number appears in the list. Lastly, download and take a printout of results for future reference.
