UP Board Result 2022: Students of Class 10 and 12 of the Uttar Pradesh board have performed splendidly, as revealed by the statistics of UP Board Result 2022. This year witnessed a passing percentage of 88.18 percent, logged by the Matriculation students, while the count was recorded at 85.33 percent for Intermediate students.

However, a large number of students have failed to qualify the UP board Matriculation and Intermediate exams 2022. Detailed statistics for the same have been provided below.

UP Board Result 2022: Number of Students Who Failed to Qualify the Exam

A total of 25, 20, 734 students of Class 10 attempted the state board exams, out of which 22, 22, 475 students were declared qualified. This implies that 2,98,277 students in all either failed to qualify the exams or did not appear for the same.

Similarly, a total of 22,37,578 students wrote the Intermediate state board exams 2022, out of which 19,09,249 students cleared the examination successfully. Thus, a total of 3,28,329 Intermediate students either did not show up for the exam or were unable to qualify the papers.

Adding up the numbers, a total of 6,26,606 students of both Class 10 and 12 were either unable to qualify the state board exams or did not ensure their presence in the same. It must be noted that a massive student dropout rate was also witnessed this year, when a total of 4 lakh students failed to appear for the exam on the very first day.
 
UP Board Result 2022: Passing Criteria
 
Those students will be declared qualified in the UP Board Exams 2022, who secure more than 33% marks in individual subjects. Also, the students must score an aggregate percentage of 33% or more to clear the state board exams.
 
UP Board Result 2022: What's Next?
 
Such students, who have failed to qualify the UP board exams 2022, can apply for the Compartment exams, which are conducted annually by the board. The students who fail to achieve the minimum passing marks in one or two subject papers of the UP Board exams 2022 are required to appear for the compartment exams. Official updates regarding the Compartment exams are awaited from the Uttar Pradesh board's side.
 
UP Board Result 2022: How are Compartment Exams Beneficial?

Compartment exams are beneficial only for the students who have failed to clear one or two subject papers. Hence, such students can appear in the compartment exams to qualify those papers, following which, they will not have to repeat the grade. However, students who fail to qualify more than two papers will have to repeat the grade.

Students of Class 10 and 12, who have been declared qualified in the UP board exams 2022, but are not satisfied with their scores, can apply for scrutiny. They must note that an amount of Rs 500 will be charged per subject, to apply for scrutiny. Steps to apply for scrutiny are mentioned herewith.
  1. Log on to the official website of Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) at upmsp.edu.in.
  2. Click on the relevant link to apply for scrutiny.
  3. Select your grade (High school or Intermediate) before filling the scrutiny form.
  4. After selecting the grade, proceed to fill the scrutiny form.
  5. Make payment of application fee and submit all the details.
  6. Obtain a printout of the filled form for future references.
