There was a time when the boys in Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the India remained far ahead from girls in terms of literacy, education, and pass percentage in various exams.

 
One of the reasons was that the strength of girl students vis-à-vis boys enrolled in intermediate standard in UP was much less in comparison. As a natural consequence to this the registration for appearing the examination for class 12 was also less in case of the girl’s students.

India and Uttar Pradesh in particular has walked out of the previous conservative folds to assume a much liberalised approach towards women and their education.
 
Especially the concept of men-women equality in the society heavily supported by some landmark rulings by the Indian Judiciary has changed the social and educational scenario completely and it is also reflected in the UP Board Result class 12 in the recent years where girls have been truly giving the boys a run for their money and are also often overtaking their physically stronger counterparts.
 
In recent years the literacy rates and educational standards of girls in UP have increased considerably and the trend is well reflected in the UP Board exam results.
 
UP Board Result Class 12 During Last Five Years’
A look at the results registered by students in the Board exams during the last five years can easily establish the pattern. It can also help to determine the possible outcome in the UP Board result 2018 class 12.
 
In the year 2013 30.11 lakh candidates appeared in the UP Board 12th class exam. The overall pass percentage was 81 where boys registered 80% and girls registered 78.39% success. During 2014 the overall pass percentage was 88 and boys and girls registered 87% and 91/10% success respectively.
 
In 2015 35.12 lakh students appeared in the exam and overall pass percentage was 92 with boys and girls registering 91% and 83.74% success rate respectively.

In 2016 out of 27.25 lakh students appearing 93% of boys and 87.66% oif girls came out successful. But 2017 saw a reversal when out of 34.04 lakh students overall pass percentage was 86.50 and it was only 76.75% for boys but 81% for girls.

One may not be surprised to find similar trends in the Board 12th result 2018.
