Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad or UP Board will declare the class X and Class XII results 2017 today. Before declaration of result, let us have a glance on the highlights.
While the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad exams started late due to the assembly elections, a number of cheating cases have been reported. This year, close to 26.2 lakh students had appeared for intermediate exam and nearly 34.4 lakh students took the high school exam.
The UP Board started the evaluation from April 27 at 253 centres in the state. Nearly 1.37 lakh teachers were assigned to check about 4.6 crore answer sheets, as per media reports.

According to a recent ANI report, several students were seen copying mathematics paper from each other while some opened books to find solutions.
Highlights of UP Board mass cheating as follows:
Marred by controversies of mass cheating, UP board had marked 31 districts as sensitive this time.
In a bid supply cheat-sheets to students through windows, relatives of the candidates scrambled up boundary walls at an exam centre to get access to students.
Images of mass cheating that shamed Bihar last year have been replayed in Uttar Pradesh.
About 1,500 students caught using unfair means during exam. FIRs have been lodged against 178 invigilators.
The UP board has also replaced 327 centre incharges and 600 invigilators, while exams at 54 centres have been cancelled. 57 centres have been blacklisted.
