MPBSE Class X, XII results : Girls outrshine boys
The much awaited results of  Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has announced the results of Class X and XII on Thursday.

Girls once again outshone boys this year by bagging top honours in the high school and higher secondary school certificate examinations organized by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE).

In the results announced here on Thursday by school education minister Paras Jain, apart from bagging the top positions in merit for class X and XII, girls outperformed boys with an overall pass percentage of 69.49% as compared to 63.31% boys in class XII.

Boys however, fared marginally better than girls in the class X results. Compared to 47.56% girls, 47.89% boys passed in class X exams of MPBSE respectively.

A statement released by Board said that " A total of 18.17 lakh students appeared for Class 10th and 12th exam this year." Of the total 6.87 lakh students appeared in class XII exam while 11.27 lakh students appeared for class X exam.

Madhya Pradesh Board conducted class 12th exam in March-April ; which started on March 1 and ended on April 5 while class 10th exam started on March 03 and it ended on March 29. According to newspaper report  "Class XII Maths paper of MP Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) was leaked in several places including Gwalior and Vidisha districts and was re-scheduled on April 12.
