Jamia Declares Class 12 Board Results

Jamia Millia Islamia has declared the result of the class 12 (regular), Arts, Commerce and Science streams 2018 within a record time of 27 days from conducting the examination of the last paper on April 02, 2018.

The result is published well before the declaration of the results of any other Board in the country.

Vice Chancellor, JMI, Talat Ahmad, congratulated the Jamia schools and the Office of the Controller of Examinations for successfully conducting and declaring results of both Class 10 and XIIth Boards in a record time.

It will help students apply for university admissions on time and decide on their future career options.

In Science stream, a total of 400 students including 176 girl and 224 boys appeared in the examination.

The pass percentage of the stream is 89.2% and 85.27% for boys and girls respectively.

Alman Perween Afsar is the overall topper of the stream with 96.6% while Afreen Fatima and Sadka Hasan are the 2nd and 3rd toppers. Among the boys, Mohd Mehtab Ansari topped the stream with 92.4% and Md Millat Reza and Ahzam Ali are declared the 2nd and 3rd toppers with 91.8% and 91.6 % respectively.

A total of 241 students appeared in the Arts stream including 143 girls and 93 boys with pass percentage of 92.57% and 83.87%.

Rimsha Hasan topped the stream with 94% while Aliya Siddiqui and Safia were declared the 2nd and 3rd toppers with 92.2% and 91.8 % respectively among the girl students.

Junaid Ashraf topped the stream among the male students with 91.2 % and Md. Samad Azam and Fardeen Mohmmad Bhat were the 2nd and 3rd toppers with 90.6% and 90% respectively.

49 female students and 25 male students passed the examination with distinction in different subjects.

A total 126 students including 28 girls and 98 boys appeared in the class 12 examinations in Commerce Stream.

Shane Ali topped the stream with 91.8 % and Md. Nasir Shai and Sarwar Moeed are the 2nd and 3rd toppers with 90.2% and 88.2% respectively.

Among the girls, Afiya Anjum has topped the stream with 86.4 % and Sana Fatma and Laiba Farroukh are the 2nd and 3rd toppers with 86.2% and 85.6% Controller of Examinations, JMI, Dr A A A Faizi, said that timely results were possible due to the hardwork and team effort of his colleagues.

He especially thanked Ayub Khan, Dy. Controller of Examinations, Khursheed Akram, Hony. Assistant Controller of Exams and Jitendra Singh, Assistant Registrar, Examinations who were instrumental in leading the result-team for timely declaration of results.
