CBSE Term 1 Result 2022: No pass/fail declaration for now - PC : My Result Plus
CBSE 10th Result 2022 Term 1: The much awaited CBSE 10th Result 2022 for the term 1 examinations has been declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today, on March 12, 2022. While the students were growing anxious due to the delay in Term 1 result declaration, their own doubts about their performance in the newly introduced board pattern had added to the fear.

As the students march into the second phase of exam preparations for the Term 2 papers, most of them who did not end up with decent scores might be feeling themselves to be in a tight spot about the same. However, such students still stand a chance to compensate for their poor performance in the Term 1 examinations.

This is because, according to the new exam rules brought into action in the current academic year, no student shall be declared pass/fail merely on the basis of Term 1 results. The Board will publish the final results after the evaluation of Term 2 exam answer sheets. Thus, the students whose performance has not been upto the mark in the CBSE Term 1 exams can ensure better preparations to ace the Term 2 exams.

Furthermore, the burden of the students to prepare for the exam has been reduced, citing the fact that the course curriculum has been divided into two equal halves, both for Term 1 and Term 2 exams. The first half of the syllabus was covered in Term 1 exams, whereas the other half is supposed to be covered in the Term 2 examinations.

Citing the aforementioned factors, the newly implemented exam pattern by the CBSE board proves to be quite beneficial and convenient for its students. Subject-wise syllabus distribution for various streams (Science, Commerce and Arts) has been published by the board on its official website cbseacademic.nic.in.

CBSE Class 10th Term 1 Result 2022: Weightage not fixed at 50%

The declaration of results has raised a number of concerns among the students and the schools affiliated to the board. Aiming to clear the air on such concerns, the board has released an official notification today on March 12, 2022 in which it has shed light on the criteria to be considered while preparing the final results. As per the notification, the board has stated that the weightage of Term-I and Term-II exams shall be decided during the declaration of the Term-II result.

Notably, CBSE did not release the Term 1 results for Class 10 students in the online mode and has shared the needful with the schools via email. Earlier the board had fixed the criteria to impart 50% weightage to both Term 1 and Term 2 exam result, but now has rescinded its decision.

The official notification issued online by the Central Board of Secondary Education reads, "The Term 1 result does not include any pass or fail certificate. Only the mark sheet cum Passing certificate will be issued by the board, once the results for Term 2 examinations are out. The mark sheet will mention the total marks obtained by the student, as per the criteria decided by the board at the time of Term 2 answer sheet evaluation”.

CBSE Class 10 students must note that the Term 2 exams have been lined up from April 26, 2022 and will be held on the lines of a subjective paper pattern. They are also advised to keep a regular check on the official website of CBSE at cbse.nic.in for exam related latest updates.
