UP Board, or the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, normally conducts the examinations for class X and XII in February/ March. It is one of the oldest Boards functioning with its headquarters in Allahabad since the year 1921. Not only the candidates belonging to the state but also students coming from various parts of the country register with the Board for studying in High Schools and the Intermediary courses in the city.

UP Board result 2018 intermediate will assess the performance of the students appearing in the examination on the basis of the marks and grades secured by them. The UP Board intermediate result page comprises a comprehensive detail of the performance of the student in the intermediate examination conducted by the Board. 

The detail of the performance consists of the roll number, school code, subject group, name of the candidate as well as his or her father and mother, name of the school, grade secured, marks obtained by the student in individual theory and practical papers.

Online Results Are Provisional
Online UP intermediate result displayed on monitor screen is provisional. It is akin to the provisional certificates and mark sheets that were issued to students after the declaration of exam result. 

However, the provisional result sheet downloaded from authorized sites is accepted now in most cases and for the purpose of registering in entrance tests and admission into higher study courses. The Board usually provides the final result sheet and certificates to the students to their registered school address a month later. The period of one month is calculated taking into account the date of declaration of the result by the Board. The documents can also be received from the school where the student had enrolled for studies and by signing the acknowledgment register.

Usually, the school intimates the students or their guardians through phone calls, SMS, or email based on the information available in connection with the UP Board intermediate result. The students are supposed to proceed to the schools to get their final certificates issued by the UP Board authenticating the provisional result sheet downloaded earlier from their website.
