Nearly 92 per cent of the Class 12 students who appeared in UP Board examination from Gautam Buddha Nagar have been declared pass, with girls bagging 17 of the top 20 positions, including the first rank, in the district.
The result for the examination was declared on Sunday.
A total of 16,620 students appeared in the examination, of which 15,264 were declared pass. The pass percentage stood at 91.84.
As many as 5,499 students got first division, 7,894 scored second division while 1,262 secured third division. District topper was girl student Nova from RS Inter College, Bishada, who scored 472 marks out of 500.
Nita Yadav of Mihir Bhoj Inter College scored 445 and stood second in the district. Shivani of BL Inter College Dankaur stood third with 439 marks. 17 of the top 20 students in the district are girls.
